High Performance Housing

ENERGY STAR Qualified Homes save money and the Planet!
Energy Star Qualified Homes are up to 30% more efficient than standard homes1. No need to give up the home designs you cherish... most of what makes a home Energy Star goes on behind the scenes where only you're aware of the differences. Improved comfort, better indoor air quality, and reduced Energy costs are just a few of the benefits.

Energuide for New Houses:

Some builders prefer to enter the high performance housing market through the Energuide for New Houses Program. This program allows the builder to offer Energy Efficiency upgrade packages to their purchasers without having to face the pass/fail scenario that exists with Energy Star. Builders may develop plans of "Silver, Gold and Platinum," to begin fine tuning the processes and practices that need to be modified to achieve Energy Star compliance.

GreenHouse™ Certified Construction - Have an Effect2
In residential housing, consumers, builders and governments are all looking for green and greener. To meet that demand, EnerQuality is introducing GreenHouse Certified Construction, a 360o approach to green building. GreenHouse is an industry-led and market driven initiative, designed to be both affordable and practical. It incorporates stringent energy efficiency specifications and significant environmental features in the area of water conservation, indoor air quality and resource management.

LEED for Houses:
LEED for Houses is a rating system that promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes. A green home uses less energy, water and natural resources; creates less waste; and is healthier and more comfortable for the occupants. Benefits of a LEED home include lower energy and water bills; reduced greenhouse gas emissions; and less exposure to mold, mildew and other indoor toxins. The net cost of owning a LEED home is comparable to that of owning a conventional home.

Reduce your Carbon Footprint!
It seems the environment is finally getting the attention it deserves! With many unsubstantiated "Green" claims being made it's great to know that your effort has been 3rd party verified for both compliance and performance. Not only do you enjoy all of the comfort and savings an Energy Star Home has to offer, the certification of your new home also confirms your positive contribution in reducing the Green House Gas (GHG) emissions.
